Welcome to Mabon
Mabon is the season of balance, when day and night meet as equals and autumn truly begins. It is a time to give thanks for what has sustained us, take stock of what we have gathered, and gently release what we do not need to carry into the darker half of the year.

THE BALANCE OF LIGHT & DARK
At the autumn equinox, day and night stand briefly in balance. Neither light nor darkness is asked to disappear; each is given its place. Mabon invites us to seek the same balance within ourselves: not perfection, but an honest accounting of work and rest, holding and releasing, tending others and tending ourselves.

GRATITUDE & ENOUGH
Mabon is traditionally a season for giving thanks, but gratitude need not pretend that everything is perfect. We can be grateful for what nourishes us while acknowledging what has been difficult. There is quiet magic in recognizing enough: enough gathered, enough accomplished, enough for today.

THE SECOND HARVEST
The first harvest gathered grain; now come apples, grapes, squash, nuts, and the abundance of early autumn. Mabon reminds us that harvest is not only about what we receive, but what we have tended. What has grown because you gave it your time, care, and attention?

PREPARING FOR THE DARK
After the equinox, darkness begins to outlast the light. The earth turns inward, and we begin our own preparations for the quieter months ahead. This is a time to simplify, preserve what matters, and release what has finished its work. What deserves a place beside your winter fireāand what can be left behind?
